Rice Cakes with a twist

Happy New Year to one and all. Hope you had a lovely Christmas and have recovered from the festivities.

I had a chance to try these unusual rice cakes recently. Clearspring bake these tasty Japanese Rice Cakes. There is nothing quite like the taste of these. They are made using rice and traditional seasonings without any added sugar, MSG, colourings or preservatives. They are square in shape, use rice flour, barley, black sesame and sea salt. They are tasty just on their own, or with some butter or cheese, or a choice of your own topping. Only 29kcal per rice cake too, so can be used in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet. Try them you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
