There’s nothing like trying something new once in a while. I love peanut butter, but I only buy the ones available in the health food stores, as the ingredients are better. For a change, I tried hazelnut butter…well, I was pleasantly surprised. Really tasty! Meridian do a range of jams and whole nut spreads. They roast hazelnuts in their natural brown skins before they grind them to a smooth texture. The only ingredients in the jar are hazelnuts and palm oil. Therefore the product is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, yeast free and vegan. Healthy too! Use it as a spread on your favourite wheat-free crackers. It also suggests using it as a cooking ingredients, but I’m not sure I’m that brave. Any suggestions?
