On the hunt for a tasty pasta dinner that is wheat free? I’ve found just the thing for you. I tried Hale n Hearty’s quinoa and rice penne, it’s very tasty! I’ve always found rice pasta a great alternative to wheat pasta, but combined with the quinoa, it gives it a nutty taste which is lovely. Quinoa is also rich in calcium, magnesium and iron, so great for sustaining energy. Made with 75% rice flour, 20% quinoa flour, and 5% cornstarch, it’s a good combination. This pasta is gluten free, wheat free, egg free, soya free, and GMO free. There’s 2.8g of fibre per 100g which is good to know as often people following a wheat-free diet can be deficient in fibre. What’s good about this pasta too is that it keeps it shape, unlike other gluten-free pastas that fall apart or get gloopy! I really enjoyed it. Simply stir in your favourite sauce like pesto or mixed vegetables with homemade tomato sauce and sprinkle on some parmesan – divine! I’m getting hungry even thinking about it!!
