I’ve always been a huge fan of porridge, especially in the winter, it’s warm and nutritious, keeps your energy levels up and tastes great. You can do a lot with porridge by adding in different ingredients and toppings. I tried a fruity delight – Rude Health’s Fruity Date Porridge. Ingredients include dates, apricots, ground apple and a hint of cinnamon. It’s sweet but not too sweet and the cinnamon gives it a kick. It’s a wheat-free recipe, high in fibre, no added salt, no refined sugars, and it’s wholegrain too. It’s delicious, very creamy and filling too. The dates and apricots are a good combination.
