Le Veneziane Penne pasta, 100% corn gluten-free pasta from Molino Di Ferro was recommended to me. It is imported from Italy and is 100% corn pasta. As the Italians know how to make pasta, I knew I’d be in for a treat. I certainly wasn’t disappointed! This pasta is fabulous – the texture, the taste, the way it stays together, doesn’t go soggy when cooked. It was very very good. It has a nice golden colour, a delicate and gentle taste allowing it to work with any sauce. This pasta was voted no 1 selling gluten free pasta in Italy and I can see why. It tastes just as good as regular wheat pasta (from my pre wheat-free days), and actually when I think about it, I thought it tasted better! This traditional penne pasta is excellent with any sauce (homemade is best!). I tried it with basil pesto from a country market and it was seriously good. Le Veneziane is one of the very few pasta makers of the world who uses 100% corn, there is no wheat, no gluten, no eggs, no added coloring, nothing else, just corn, which makes this pasta a healthy choice too.   Available online from Ecodirect or have a look on and contact them directly to order their pasta.
