I tried Genius bread for the first time, and wow I’m converted! I don’t think I’ve ever tried gluten-free bread that is squishy and soft like this! It really tasted like the real thing! Genius have a range of brown and white bread – sliced or unsliced. This is a fresh approach to gluten-free bread as I’ve rarely seen brown gluten-free bread on the supermarket shelves. I was pleasantly surprised. I preferred the unsliced bread as you could cut the slices as thick as you like and I felt that they stayed together much better. The brown sliced in particular crumbled when I put some butter on it, which was a bit disappointing. But the flavour and texture of these breads are great. They taste fresh, which is the first thing that hits you. Usually gluten-free breads have a kind of stale taste and they usually need to be toasted to taste better. There’s a nice story behind Genius as well. Creator and food lover, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, tried to create the perfect fresh gluten-free loaf when she found out that one of her children had a severe gluten intolerance. She didn’t want her children to feel left out and miss out on dunking toast soldier into a runny boiled egg! So, Lucinda spent years in the kitchen perfecting the recipe. That’s how Genius came about! This bread is a welcome addition to any gluten-free diet. It makes having sandwiches a real delight! Available to buy online also!
Wow, tastes so real!

Hi yeh I have recently gone gluten free ( been a month now) and well the gluten free bread I first bought was really quite disgusting! Might have been soft and fresh but yuck! So I would often be caught out with no gluten free choice and having to eat a bounty and packet of crisps for lunch due to lack of gluten free options. Anyhow was in London visiting my boyfriend and he said do you need bread, and picked up genius bread, I was sceptical but as he was paying for it, I though ok will try it!
The white genius bread is so like the real thing! Words cannot describe how delicious it is, I am a bread lover and this hit the spot so scrummy was hard to believe it was ok to eat! And just bought the brown and that is equaly scrummy! Might be pricey, but definaely worth it! After no bread for after a month I was getting abit annoyed watching othr people eating bakery fresh bread, but now I have genius bread, how do they do it!

I think this bread is really good too! Much improvement on other gluten free breads on the market. I can have sandwiches again! 🙂

I have tried Genius before and I loved it! But today I tried Warburtons free-from bread for the first time, and I have to say that the Warburtons version toasts a lot better than the Genius bread. Have you tried the Warburtons version?

My wife loves the bread so much, she can't get enough of it !! and I mean our local supermarkets in West Finglas, Dublin, don't stock enough or don't stock it at all, she's in the shops Friday's (main shopping) Sundays and Wednesday. she considers herself lucky to get Genius bread once every other week.
